The Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma, a project of Columbia Journalism School, presents the 2024 Early Childhood Reporting Institute. This initiative is designed to enhance the quality of reporting on early childhood experiences and development. Through this program, journalists can gain a deeper understanding of the complexities of childhood developmental issues, trauma, and resilience, while also networking with fellow journalists and experts in the field.

General Eligibility Requirement:

  • Working journalists (reporters, editors, visual journalists) from all media.
  • A keen interest in issues of early childhood, such as development, health, education, or related areas.
  • Proficiency in English, as the sessions will be conducted in English.

Geographic Focus:

Worldwide (For journalists from any part of the world).
